Some Helpful Tips to Make Your Roman Holiday Even More Enjoyable

Ceremony

Guests are kindly reminded to observe modest attire when attending the marriage ceremony (shoulders and midriff must be covered).

Please also consider your footwear. The cobblestone streets of Trastevere are charming but uneven. Ladies, a wedge or block heel will be far more comfortable than a stiletto (Rose can confirm this from experience!).

Reception

We are delighted to share this special day with you. Please note that our dinner reception will be an adults-only celebration, with the exception of our immediate family’s children.

​

The rooftop terrace where dinner will be held has pebble stone flooring, so appropriate footwear is recommended.

Please also note that a flight of stairs must be climbed to reach the dining area.

General

We kindly ask for no gifts — your presence in Rome is the greatest gift of all.

​

Our wedding celebrations will take place in the Trastevere neighbourhood, known for its peaceful days and lively evenings. Rose and Ray will be staying in this area, but you are welcome to choose accommodations wherever you feel most comfortable.

​

Outside of the wedding day itself, no formal events or group tours will be arranged. Guests are free to arrive and depart Italy at their own pace, and to explore the Eternal City however they wish. While we are happy to share recommendations for flights, hotels, and sightseeing, we kindly ask that guests make their own travel and accommodation arrangements.

On the Day of the Wedding

• 12:00 pm – Ceremony begins promptly.

• Immediately following – Ray & Rose will greet guests in the piazza outside the church.

• Rose & Ray will then slip away for photos around the city, while guests enjoy free time to explore.

• 5:00 pm – Aperitivo begins (Italian for cocktails and snacks).

• 7:00 pm – Dinner is served. A special menu has been created for this occasion.

• After dinner – Cake cutting, served with caffè and more cocktails.
